Elay told the 'musher' to stop, she clutched her stomach while walking to the nearest bush. "Oh... I think I'm going to barf..." The sled driver yelled back at her that he was leaving, he knew about the mysteries of the lake.
"OK! I'm leaving now! Bye!... Go dogs go!"
Elay stood hunched over for several minutes until she finally retched. Wiping her face off with a leaf and some water from the fresh water lake, she yelled for her driver. "Hello... hello... hello..." The echo yelled back. "Hum. Well, nevermind you then! I'll get there myself." She muttered under her breath.
Pulling her jacket around her tighter, Elay took out her staff. She squatted infront of the lake and started swirling the water with her staff. "I don't know why everyone thinks this place is so dangerous. It seems so peaceful." She lifted her gaze and looked at the towering mountains in the background reminding her it was going to be a horrific trek out of there.
The wind now blew slightly to the northeast and swirled the fire she had worked so hard on. It crackled and poped a few times before going back to its silent burning. Elay started nodding off and caught herself right before she face-planted into the snow. She shook her head like a dog and stood up. After splashing some refreshing water on her face a small noise caught her attention. It was obviously not an animal.
Sighing she dropped her staff and held up her hands. "I am unarmed and I have no wish whatsoever to fight."

Leon walked along the path slowly, kicking pebbles here and there, and then he stopped, the smell of fire was in the air, he raised an eyebrow, "no one is stupid enough to be out here at night!" He mumbled to himself. Then he shrugged and continued to walk, "doesn't concern me at this time, or does it....." He smirked slightly, pulling his radio out, "hey Hunning?......do you have anything on someone being out at the lake?" Leon waited for the reply, but there was only static, "hmmmm." He put the radio away, "this isn't good....."
Leon perched himself up on a tree and watched out on the lake as a small fishing boat made its way across it. It stopped, he pulled out his binoculars and watched closely as a man was dumped into the water, then the boat sped away. The water around the corpse swayed slightly, then the jaws of a huge creature engulfed the man. Leon put the binoculars down and looked in awe, "what just happened?!" He jumped down from the tree, "Hunning!" He had the radio to his ear again, "HUNNING?!" He yelled into it frantically, but nothing came back, "what a time for a lunch break!" Leon laughed to himself.
Then something caught his eye, a small amount of smoke was coming from just ahead, "the fire from before?" He whispered and walked closer, holding his gun in his hand now. As he closed in he heard a girls voice, saying that she was unarmed, he knew the voice also. He placed the gun back in his pocket and walked through the bushes.
"hmm well isn't' that obvious?" Leon laughed, "good to see you again Elay." He smiled coming out of the darkness, "or at least for me it is, do you remember me? We met quite some time ago....hmmm doesn't matter really, the past is the past right?" He smiled, "You should get away from that lake, didn't you see that thing just now? Or were you to busy falling asleep as always?" A smirk crossed his lips, "never mind, just get away from the water."
