Elay finally decided she was far enough when they reached a large cave. She set Leon down and ran out to get wood. Only a few minuted had gone by when she returned with a huge armload of wood.
Setting it down so it would burn she decided 'what the hell' and used her power over light to make the fire start. It was only a little puff of smoke at first but soon it grew into a large fire.
Elay stayed by the fire long enough to get warm then she backed off into a corner and hugged her knees; thinking of her father.

Leon lay on the floor and looked up at the ceiling, "Thanks...." He said just loud enough that Elay would be able to hear him.

Elay came back from her memories and smiled gently to the flickering shape across the room. She sighed and laid down, facing away from everything.

Leon tilted his head slightly, "What's wrong?" He asked kind-heartedly.

"Nothing. Just memories of times past. Don't worry about it... And you are welcome." She smiled slightly and pulled her sweatshirt tighter.

"How can I not worry about it? I can't just over look things like that, you look like you're in pain from these memories..." He said quietly, but just loud enough so that she would hear, "I can't just let you sit there in pain..."

"Thanks for the sympathy but dont worry about it. They are memories of buttlerflies and smiling suns, now go to sleep." She said quietly.

Leon nodded but didn't quiet believe her, but he did as she said and lay down shutting his eyes and relaxing.

Elay woke up long before sunrise and decided to go for a walk. She felt like leaving her company all together but thought better of it. "There are too many people out there who want my head, I guess a little extra help is good."

Leon yawned as he sat up and leaned against the wall. He slid his ring off after noticing that Elay was nowhere to be found. Then he stood and stretched his wings out as far as they could reach. It felt so wonderful that he walked outside and flew up high into the air. He soared above the terrain, several hundred feet in the air. He smiled and landed on a huge rock formation, taking in a huge breath.

Elay came by a stream and splashed the water over her face. She sighed and let the water drip off her bangs as she stood up. A small fox ran from one bush to the other, looking for breakfast. She smiled and decided she should do the same. Grabbing some leaves from a nearby bush she placed them in the center of the walkway.
Soon a white hair came curiously hopping by and found the leaves. It started munching when Elay jumped from behind the tree and grabbed it. Quickly she snapped its neck sharply to the right. "I'm sorry little fella, but thats how it works." With a whistle and a rabbit she started heading back.

Leon sat down on the rock and looked out over a huge lake as he smelled the morning air. He looked to the Sun and the clouds as he lay back on the rock and placed his arms under his head. Then he shut his eyes and relaxed.
Leon jolted up and looked over the rock as a bear slowly passed by where he was. A smile flashed across his face as he swooped down and grabbed the beast, shoving his sword into it's massive back. The bear cried out in pain and terror as Leon slammed it to the ground and pulled out the sword to stab him again. Soon the beast was dead and laying lifeless under his knees. Leon smiled and placed the sword back in it's sheath. He flapped his wings getting off of the bear and landed next to it. He looked at his kill and then decided to begin his way back. He took the bear's massive paw in both of his hands and flapped his wings quickly until he was up into the air a bit. Then he began to fly home. Leon stopped for a break after a few minuets of flying, the bear weighed a ton. He stood on the ground taking in deep breaths as he began to hear footsteps off in the distance.

Elay had started running towards the bear, thinking Leon had started walking and was attacked by a bear. She stopped suddenly when she saw Leon next to the bear, which was now dead, and smiled. "I guess you can take good care of yourself can't you."

"Of course," His voice was unsteady as he noticed that he hadn't put his ring back on to hide his wings. The jet black feathers shined in the sunlight as he bit his lower lip.

Elay started laughing and walked up to Leon. "When were you going to tell me about these? They are very nice. Love the black." She laughed again. "It's all right, no need to hide your true identity. I think it's good that I know now, I now then know what I'm up against." Her laughter died off and her gaze turned to steel. "I know you are one that wants my head now. I've heard the rumors and I know they are true. Many angels have tried and failed to kill me; let's hope you are no different."
