Leon sat back in his wicker chair and sighed a loud exhaleing sound. He shut his eyes and smiled, "this is the life." He was relaxed for the first time in his life. He opened his eyes and looked at the moon, it was perfect, just right in size not too bright not too dark.
He stood up shoving his hands into his pockets and began to walk on the trail. He walked a long way until he began to hear steps behind him. He slid his hand over the handle of his sword and turned around, "who's there?"

Erin Simmins was having a rough night. The castle that she and her uncle were staying at was loud. Erin hated it. She wanted to go home. She had decided that she would take a walk along the trail away from the castle. Only to get away from it for a little while. She had her knife on her at all times, just to be prepared. Suddenly, she heard a man speak. "who's there?" He said. Erin got her knife out and started walking slowly along the trail.

Leon stood up taller suddenly, "I can hear you...who are you? I mean no harm...." He said softly, he still had his hand on his sword.

Erin gave up. She came out of the trees, her knife still in her hand.

Leon bit his lip, "well my name is Leon." He smiled, "are you going to attempt so stab me with that? Because I don't think you would make it any further than you are right now." He joked around, "I'm just joking with you." He put his sword away and sighed lightly, "so who are you?"

Erin lowed her knife.
"You may call me Erin." She said.

Leon smiled, "alright Erin." He nodded, "and what brings you here?" He had a crooked smile and his eyebrow was raised slightly.

She shrugged.
"My uncle and I are staying at the castle a ways down the trail here. It was to loud and crazy for me, so I left." She said.

Leon nodded, "well I wouldn't know how that is." He looked at his slightly tattered clothes, "but hey! Doesn't matter! What matters is here and now, that's all!" He laughed.

Erin smiled.
"You wouldn't know it by looking at me." She said, looking at her faded jeans and tank top.

Leon laughed, "ah you do have quite a point there, but it's no big deal, I mind my own." He laughed some more, and then he looked up at the moon, sadness in his eyes.

"What's wrong?" She asked him, looking at the moon as well.

"Nothing, I was only thinking about something, my past." He said smiling again, "what about you? Huh? You don't seem all that enthused either."

Erin sighed.
"I'm not. My uncle is here, acting like he is on business with the king, but I know he wants me to marry his son." She sighed, sitting on a rock.

Leon laughed slightly, "you aren't going to marry that jerk are you? He only wants to look like a good man, he really isn't at all."
